Three Day Guide To Miami

3 Day Guide To Miami Hotel Beach

Whenever I’m planning a trip, a long weekend never feels like enough time…

Trust me when I say, 3 days in Miami is enough time.

We arrived early on Saturday morning and left on Monday night. Between the sun & the drinking I felt like I was on vacation for a week. Maybe I’m getting soft in my post-college life, but I don’t think I could have done another night out.

That being said, I definitely want to go back and explore some more places in the area! It was the perfect spot for a girls trip and I think everyone had a great time 🙂

Where We Stayed:

The Marseilles Hotel on Collins Ave in South Beach

Pros:

  • Location! Right on the beach in the heart of south beach. Everything we needed was within walking distance.
  • The pool was beautiful (and pool bar was even better)! They had a very cute outdoor area with hammocks and games. You also have the option to reserve a private cabana and pool bed.
  • Nightly happy hour with free drinks – somehow we missed it both nights (whoops).

Cons:

  • Lots of little charges and extra fees for thing that feel like they should be included (i.e. late check out and beach chairs).
  • Wouldn’t recommend the hotel food – take a 10-second walk outside and you’ll find something much better.

What We Did:

SLS Pool Party – By far the highlight of the trip! The SLS Hotel was directly next-door to ours. I don’t quite remember what we did, when we came home, or who we talked to but it was such a fun day! We went Saturday afternoon around 1:30. Pro Tip: Definitely pregame and definitely try to get there before 1pm. The line is crazy long the later you go.

LIV – Okay, so I’m definitely not a club girl but LIV seems to be the equivalent of seeing the Bellagio fountain in Vegas…you have to do it at least once. Would definitely go again if an artist I really liked was going to be there, otherwise, would skip round two.

The Bodega – I didn’t make it the Bodega (thanks SLS), but a lot of the girls in our group did. Needless to say they came home with two pinantas and a sombrero so I think they had a good time…

Where We Ate & Drank:

The Social Club – Directly next to our hotel on Collins Ave, The Social Club is a trendy, boutique restaurant with bottomless mimosas and delish brunch. Be sure to get a reservation if you want to sit outside! By the time we left brunch the restaurant was completely packed.

Sushi Samba – Super fresh with some unique dishes that combine Asian and South American style cuisine. Located on Lincoln Road (an outdoor mall, with lots of shops and restaurants). If sushi isn’t your thing, you’ll definitely find something for everyone on a walk down Lincoln Road.

Wet Willie’s – Don’t go for the food, go for the slushes! Literally any flavor/liquor combo you could think of was on their menu. The upstairs balcony looks right over Miami Beach and Ocean Drive.

Rosetta Bakery – An easy grab and go Italian bakery right on Collins Ave. Perfect for a quick breakfast and coffee before hitting the pool.

Pizza Rustica – We had the nicest Lyft driver who recommended this pizza for our post LIV late night munchies. SO GOOD. Huge square slices with all kinds of toppings. Open late for all your drunk pizza needs.

Where We Didn’t Make It (but wanted to go):

The Clevelander – Another pool party with a black out reputation.

Wynwood Arts District – Unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to make it much further than the general vicinity of our hotel during our short stay. Next time I definitely want to make a pit stop for the epic wall murals in Wynwood.

…….

The tropical vibes, perfect weather and an endless list of things to do makes Miami the perfect spot for a last minute girls trip or weekend away with your bae!

My friends and I are already talking about our next trip…

Thanks for reading!
